The axis of a tropical wave is near 136W, from 17N southward, well to the east-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands, moving westward at around 15 kt. Broad 1009 mb low pressure may be evident along the wave at 09N136W, new Invest EP90. Scattered to numerous moderate to strong convection is noted from 01N to 11N between 131W and 140W. This area of interest is showing some signs of organization. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form within a few days while the system moves generally westward across the western portion of the east Pacific and into the Central Pacific.
